🌟 Lausitz Science Park – Vision & Future
The Lausitz Science Park is an ambitious large-scale project designed to strengthen Lusatia as a center of innovation. With academic and industrial partners, a strong focus on research, and modern infrastructure, it will act as a driver for technology transfer, new jobs, and urban development—integrated into the regional structural transformation.

Vision & Purpose
The Lausitz Science Park (LSP) will be a modern science and innovation location that closely links science, research and business.
- Central pillar in the structural change of Lusatia
- 420 hectares total area
- Focus on knowledge transfer, research & industry

Location & Areas
- Location: Northwest of Cottbus/Chóśebuz, near BTU campus
- Excellent connections to the city center, traffic & public transport
- Core area: approx. 65 hectares, completion by 2029
- Overall development planned as a generational project

- New, integrative district with living, working, leisure & recreation
- Perspective: 10,000 jobs
- Capacity for 200 SMEs
- Integration of residential buildings, daycare centers, restaurants

- March 2022: Symbolic opening letter of intent
- July 2024: Framework agreement for development signed
- May 2025: Presentation at the Real Estate Arena (investment focus)
- June 2025: First Cleantech Festival (information booth, tours, digital formats)
