SMART GROW LIGHTS FROM GENOPTIC
Genoptic's technology features an advanced intelligent power IC designed to miniaturize and optimize power distribution and efficiency. With improved efficiency, Genoptic's solutions become industry leaders in reducing overall power consumption and extending product lifespans.
The Vertical Indoor Farming method aims to produce food year-round—regardless of weather and season. The hope is to save space, water, fertilizers, and pesticides, and protect the climate and soil.
Given the rapid urbanization in many regions of the world, the idea of soilless cultivation is playing an increasingly important role in considerations of future agriculture. Vertical indoor farming is a prominent example: Lettuce, green leafy vegetables, and herbs, in particular, grow in enclosed buildings, stacked on high shelves. They are cultivated in hydroponic or aeroponic systems, where the plants are not rooted in soil. Nutrients are provided to the plants via water or in the form of a fine mist.
Thanks to the closed systems, hardly any or no pollutants from the indoor farming factories enter the soil and groundwater. Because the plants are less exposed to pathogens, fewer pesticides are needed. Computers control LED lighting, irrigation, room temperature, and nutrient levels to ensure rapid plant growth. The optimal conditions make it possible to achieve high yields of lettuce, herbs, and leafy vegetables. According to a study, yields can be up to ten times higher than with conventional cultivation. And water is saved: At Nordic Harvest, Europe's largest vertical indoor farm in Denmark, a recycling system reduces the water required by the plants. This lower water demand is a major advantage in the face of the climate crisis. The smaller space requirement relieves pressure on land and soil. Vertical indoor farming has experienced a major boom in recent years. Corporations such as Würth, Walmart, Lidl, and Rewe have now invested billions in the new business model.
Genoptic brings its cutting-edge smart technology, which reduces power consumption and maximizes plant growth, to the indoor grow industry.
Genoptic is proud to introduce the indoor horticulture industry's first artificial intelligence (AI) LED grow lighting solution powered by IC Smart Power Chip technology.
A lighting spectrum with different pigments and light intensities is ideal for maximizing plant growth. Genoptic has patented technology to provide a customized lighting method that includes wavelength, lumen intensity, geometry, and duration, tailored to each specific plant type.
Genoptic's artificially intelligent, responsive system uses sensors to detect the light reflected by the plant and modifies it through an automatically programmable lighting recipe. Light emission is controlled using real-time feedback parameters. The result is superior, species-specific growth performance, lower energy costs, and maximum photosynthesis.
